Williams Bay School 4K Program

Welcome to the Williams Bay School District 4K program. For some children, this will be their first experience in a school setting. Our goal is to provide a positive environment which will lay the foundation of a love for learning and future school success. Your child will be given an opportunity to learn about themselves and the world in a group setting which focuses on the development of social, emotional, physical, cognitive, and language skills.  We believe play is the work of children.  Activities will nurture your child’s natural way of learning by doing.  The children will be encouraged to explore, discover, solve problems, and make decisions.

A typical Day in 4K

"Play gives children the chance to practice what they are learning," Mr. Rogers.

4K is a full day program from 8:30-3:30. We offer half day options in the morning from 8:30-11:15.

Outdoor Play - Children start their day working on gross motor skills on the playground.  They enjoy swinging, climbing, hopping, sliding, and running.

"Busy Bee" Time - Busy Bee Centers are small group, teacher led activities. These lessons focus on early math and literacy skills using hands-on activities.  Parent volunteers are welcome to join us for small group work time.

Language Ars & Math - Theme based projects are created to teach kindergarten readiness skills.

Learning Centers - Centers vary throughout the year.  During this free choice time, the children will learn through exploration and discovery. Students can choose to build, create art, engage in dramatic play, sand and water, nature and science. Center time helps children grow in their social skills as they navigate interactions with their new friends!

Storytime - Reading a story with milk and snack wraps up a wonderful day at school.
